Cylinder head replacement???
I need a new pair of cylinder heads on my 92 3.1 due to exhaust manifold bolts broken off. What do I need to take into account before doing the swap? Can I use same pushrods? Lifters? I will be getting a pair off a 3.1 or 3.4.

Re: Cylinder head replacement???
You could just drill out the broken studs. But all gen 1 60 degree V6 heads are the same, so any parts external to them will be able to be used.

So should I use the pushrods from the donor car or my car? All I would have to do is set the valve lash right? What about lifters?

Re: Cylinder head replacement???
As for lash. You tighten down till you reach zero lash. That's where you can just barely feel resistance when spinning the pushrod then tighten the bolt a additional 5/8 to 3/4 of a turn for the preload on the lifters. I always went with 5/8ths.
Always be sure that the valve you are lashing in is closed!!!
