1227730 (VIN 8) will it work for ( VIN T)

Hi all.

I am rebuilding a 2.8 V6 - put in a 3.1 crank and stroker pistons. Now I need to wire the sucker. I have a wiring harness and ECM 1227730 from a '93 Camaro.
All I could find on the net was a diagram for the VIN 8 F body. Will the diagram work for my engine? The engine will be installed into a "73 MGB so the only accessories I have is the alternator and the A/c Compressor.
Any help would be appreciated. I know I may have to do some alterations on the wiring. I am also looking to possibly re-program the chip?

1993 Camaro wouldn't be a VIN 8 with a '730 ECM. It would be a VIN P with a 16159278 ECM as 1993 Z28s were LT1 cars.

Personally, I would sell the '730 and harness with chip as they are sought after and get a V6 harness, ECM and chip as they are pretty easy to come by.

I've got an engine harness, ECM, and chip from a 91 3.1 laying around. I don't have any concrete plans for them. Send me a private message if you're interested.

Hi, just read your note. I do not understand though- The camaro engine is a 3.1 and I stripped the harness (partially) out and the ECM is a 1227730 - why does the other guy say it's not a 1227730? Is you harness complete? How much? Can u send a pic?
Thanks

My apologies, I didn't understand your post due to a misleading title. If the ECM is actually from a 1993 Camaro, it won't be a '730 ECM because those were last used in 1992 and yes, they were used on the V6 cars as well as V8.
