I need the belt routing for a 1986 with 2.8 with the 4 groove serpentine belt running the ALT and Water pump and a v-belt running the Air and power steering. I bought belts but nothing seems right, I bought the car with everything in boxes so it's like putting a puzzle together without a picture. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Speedyz85

Thank's Cheerio but that link is for v-belts, mine seems to have a small 4 groove Serpentine running the ALT and Water Pump and a V-belt running the Air and Power Steering. I seem to remember and old full size GMC Jimmy that I used to have having a similar odd set up. I bought this car with the engine in pieces so I'm not sure that's the way it came but NAPA does list belts for it that way although none of the ones they gave me seem to fit.

Hey I got it! digging thru some boxes of parts that came with the car I came across a missing bracket and a different set of pulleys for the crank and water pump and looks like my belts just might work!

😀. I can't believe they used both types of belt on one engine ! GM madness lol. Show us when it's done .
