Broken PS bracket due to belt being too tight?

Well my power steering bracket broke off and i think its cause my belt tension is too tight. Is there a way to loosen the tension a bit? My 3.1 has smog pump and ac compressor delete. its broken before but the other bolt that bolts into the head held it in place. i switched out the broken bracket but this time the bracket snapped and the bolt that bolts to the head also broke off the head so i have to extract that bolt. So once i extract the bolt that goes to the head and get a new bracket on there im wondering if theres a way to loosen the tension a bit so the belt wont be soo tight so i can avoid another broken bracket.

Re: Broken PS bracket due to belt being too tight?

Can somebody send me a pic of the bracket behind the power steering pump. I cant seem to find a pic of what it looks like. Or anybody have an idea on how I can reinforce the power steering pump so it wont break on me again. Thanks

Dam it looks like that bracket goes on the exhaust manifold stud and mine doesn't even have the stud dam. That's another problem I have . Do you have an actual picture? seems like that bracket is out of the question. If i do find the bracket maybe it will hold with just the bottom bolt. I need to find another way to reinforce that bracket dam.
