Injector Sensor? What is it?

So I'm getting pretty close to getting this little v6 running again but I have this sensor on the top front of the engine that screws into the intake. It appears that one of the plugs from the injector harness plug into it. Can anybody tell me what this sensor is? I can't seem to find any info on it and the parts places around here just give me a deer in the headlights look when I tell them what I'm looking for then say they don't know cause it's just too old. HELP! lol

Picture?

Maybe a coolant temp sensor/sender/switch, from the location and connector type you describe.

Re: Injector Sensor? What is it?

No it's not a coolant temp sensor I bought a new one and replaced it, It is the one right next to it in the intake though. I'll have to take a picture tomorrow and post it so we can figure out what it is. Thanks for the Help so far!

Re: Injector Sensor? What is it?

It's another coolant sensor. I believe one is for the computer and one is for the gauge.

That's what I was leaning towards or for a light or something along those lines, but that can't be it... "because it's not a coolant sensor"... lol I'll never understand when people ask for identification of something and then tell people that can't be it...

Well MR. Shooter, I said No to it being a coolant temp switch because I had already replaced it with a new one so I KNEW that that was not it. I guess I should of stated it more clearly in my question as not to confuse you to much, In the future I will try to be more specific for you. Thank you RBob for the assistance I will see if my Local NAPA can find me a Thermal Switch for my cold start injector.

Front corner of left side drivers head behind the P/S pump? Single green wire with a clip on connector. That is for the dash temperature gauge.

Four on the 2.8l engines (MPFI). There is the head temperature switch for the fan in the right hand cylinder head.

CTS for ECM
Cold start injector coolant sensor
Coolant sensor for dash gauge
Head coolant temperature for fan
