Re: V6 guys represent! Go vote!
yea that's messed up. Lol. I got nominated like 3 years back and i had a few hundred views and ended up only getting like 10 votes total. 20ish percent of the votes. I guess most people didnt like me or know me. That apperence voteing is a popularity vote imo.

Re: V6 guys represent! Go vote!
I've been nominated 3 times and just don't worry about winning too much..
I think its cool that someone that I don't even know would nominate my car! I think that's a huge accomplishment and more important than having the most friends voting on here, though, I like getting to know people that are into these cars since most people I know could care less.
All the cars are deserving and high quality, so the outcome is all good!
I really like what you did with the RS Pillsbry and the 5th gen wheels look awesome on it. I like the decisions you made and the car looks awesome. I think its awesome to see a V6 Turbo in there!
I also think its cool to let the V6 peeps know to check it out.. there are people that would vote if they checked it out over there!
Cheers!

I think there is a popularity aspect for sure since someone had more votes than anyone else currently before a pic was even posted..

Not completely true. I have read alot of y'all's threads and have mad respect for what y'all are doing. I've even spread the word about y'all's talent at all the carshow I've been too since joining here. Our youth minister at church has a few ole hot rods and his daily driver is a 93 3.4 car. I got on tgo and showed him what y'all are up to and some timeslips. He was floored. Much respect and love from me for what it's worth.

V6 winner in May 2016 COTM. It was restricted to base model cars though.

Group voting is about appealing to the masses. Your car has some design choices that are very specific to your taste. In my opinion the biggest slap in the face is losing to a completely stock car, and that isn't happening here.
FWIW, I might have the only base model car that has ever won during an unrestricted "open season" contest.... but the 2.8L is long gone.
