fuel in intake

92 camaro 3.1 the car died "friday" at the light then after restart, had to keep the throttle up, went bak to the shop, turned it off, looked under the hood, restart and ran fine, started home and it started losing power and again had to feather it. stopped and parked, stayed running but loped well under normal rpm, turned it off, and cant start it, found fuel when i pulled the intake hose off the throttle body. ?? new coil and plugs thus far
when turning it over, its not trying to start at all,

Your fuel pressure regulator has failed , that's the only way you can get fuel into that part of the intake system (which normally is supposed to have nothing but air in it)

Re: fuel in intake

Pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator, turn the key on, look for gas squirting out of the regulator. You might have to cycle the key on/off a few times, but if you don't get fuel spraying out, the regulator might not be the problem.

Re: fuel in intake

I just got doing mine. I was dreading it. But took like 20 minutes to do. I used the tpi fpr. And you need a security torx bit for it. Also you could install a adjustable fpr for a tpi while in there. I am going to.
