I inherited a 3rd gen V6 Pontiac Firebird. After driving for a bit, it shows the SES light and the error code is 23. Changing the IAT sensor sounds like a good starter project to get accustomed with the car.
I attached a picture, can somebody point out the location of the IAT sensor on my MPFI V6 ?

Here is a picture that shows the rest as well. You must be referring to the bottom left sensor with the red plastic?
No, that's the "EVAP Solenoid". The IAT is screwed into the side of the air filter housing, it's the big round thing right next to your charcoal (EVAP) canister.
PS, that white wire looks sketchy as Hell, and wasn't put there by GM.....
