I’ve had the car for about a month, car had a thermostat that was stuck open so it was never going into closed loop. It also seemed to have a hard warm start problem where it would turn over for a decent amount of time and then smell like fuel out the back when it finally started.
Check engine light came on 1 time. Engine lean. I assumed it was because the donut gasket is blown out right above where the o2 sensor is.
This weekend I replaced the injectors with new ones off rock auto(not remans; new units), and did the thermostat. Now I have an intermittent rough idle when warm and check engine light at idle. After I start driving, check engine light goes off.
Rich code. With my snap on mt2500
I can see it’s running super rich at idle, and is pulling a lot of fuel.
Disconnected fuel pressure regulator and the checked, same thing. With a vacuum leak present, then runs super lean (which makes sense)
I still seem to be having a hard warm start so, my thoughts are either bad cold start injector which is constantly leaking fuel into the engine while it’s running causing rich code, or one/multiple of the new injectors is faulty and is causing the engine to flood out.
