code 35
my cars been idleing werid lately and today finaly it set off a code 35 is there any way to fix the idle speed sensor or do i have to buy a new one and how much do they run if any one knows
The IAC is a stepper motor. The computer will post a code 35 when the idle moves approx. 300rpm away from where the ECU thinks it should be. So a code 35 does not necessarily mean a bad IAC. On my car the idle was moving all over the place and the problem turned out to be the TPS. It was bad just not enough for the ECU to notice.
The Wells Manufacturing IAC, usually sold at GI Joes or Autozone, runs from about $40 to $50 dollars. The TPS made by them is about $40.

that explains why my cars idle at stoplihgts has been jumping it sits at about 1000 rpm used to be 750 then drops to 500 back to a 1000 and when i start it and its cold it idles at a happy 2000 rpm
