Car moves by its self

When at a stop light or stop sign, while im applying my brakes the car idles so badly that it moves on its own every time the RPM needle jumps. I replaced the cap and rotor recently and was just wondering would this be a cause of not connecting the right plug wires to the cap terminals in the special order, i think i may have screwed up the proper sequence. Also its been almost 7 months since i replaced the plug wires and spark plugs. Also no codes came out either. Thanks--------------- Abe

Proper sequence should be 1-2-3-4-5-6, clockwise, on the cap. #1 is the front PASSENGER side cylinder, not the front driver's side like just about every other chevy engine! Does the car stumble like it's about to die, then surge up again? If so, I'm thinking a dirty IAC system, or a bad MAF, or bad timing. Pull the plugs and inspect them; if you've got a misfiring cylinder, it won't look like the others; it'll have deposits on it, and might be wet with fuel.

Oops, should've mentioned that.

Plugs 1,3,5 are on the passenger side of the motor. Plug one is the frontmost; plug 5 is the rearmost.

Plugs 2,4,6 are on the driver's side. Plug 2 is the frontmost, plug 5 is the rearmost.

Click on "search" in the upper right hand corner, and search the V6 forum for "IAC". You can't pour anything in the gastank because the IAC doesn't have gas going thru it, just air.
