you can take out the sound deadning pads that go under the carpet, buy lighter wheels, buy a fiberglass hood.
oh and you can read a tech article also
did you weigh the rear seats? how much do the weigh???

I actually disagree on the padding below the carpet. It weighs nothing.. maybe 2 pounds. When I replaced my carpet, for kicks, I separated the old padding from the old carpet, and picked it up. The old padding was extremely light. I wouldn't bother ripping apart the car just to pull it. Hell, you could skip lunch, and it'd probably be the same weight difference!
If you're like me, and hate air conditioning, you could always pull that to save weight. Wooden subwoofer boxes add a ton of weight; if you have one, you could remake it with fiberglass.

jc whitney has fiberglass front ends. relocate batt to where spare used to be & vent to outside. lighter wheels. read the above article. loose a/c compressor if not used.
You draggin or something, If you are strip everything out but the essentials. But street try rippig the stereo out thats about 5lbs, AC is about 45lbs passenger seat about 40+lbs. The plastic that goes around the back is easy to remove too, I'm sure thats worth some lbs too.
lol ... go and find someone who is less than 100lbs to drive the car and teach him/her how to drive im sure that'll reduce the weight a lot...
everyone needs a j/k once in a while...
if u are draggin ... then remove everything interior except the drivers seat both the dashpad and passenger seat weigh a lot...
