ALDL codes?

ALDL codes?

ok so i made a post about my idln problems and i was told to do a code check with my aldl or something rather and i was able to do that and got the codes 12,32,33,34,and 44 but now where can i find out what these codes tad for? thanks guys

ok i was able to figure out what the codes meant and i was able to find them in the FAQ but anybody have any idea how to fix any of it? or what they mean in simple terms for my simple inexperienced mind?

if its sensors that are tripping/creating codes make sure they are good/bad. replace if neccesary.

The FAQ lists all codes for all years... for instance, the code might tell you "bad MAP or bad MAF" sensor- for some years, it's a MAP, some, it's a MAF.

Some of those codes might be really old, too. You might want to disconnect the neg cable for a minute or two, and reconnect it, and go for a drive (1/2 hour away at highway speeds, 1/2 hour back). Then you know that any codes that get turned on are new, and not old.

Also, some codes can throw other codes. Say you had codes 98 and 99- 98 might cause 99 to pop up. (I used high #'s because I can't think of an exact situation... 98/99 aren't real codes for our cars.)
