I know that there are alot of threads on tire fitment but I looked through alot and none of them match my case exactly. I'm currently running with 235/60r14s (yep, 14s is what she came with!). I'm upgrading to 17 " Torque Thrust ll going on a Camaro that has been lowered with Eibach springs (1.6" at the rear, 2" at the front).

I'd like to know what is the widest I can go at the back before I contact the lip of the quarter panel during cornering etc?. I'm expectling to go with 255/45R17. I figure these wheels are so popular that there must be a whole bunch of guys out there with this setup. I don't really want to go less than a 45 profile. So you are running something close to this I'd love to hear from you.

How wide are your rims gona be? if 8'' the widest you can put on that is a 275/40/17

 

Oops! That would be useful info. Yes they are 8" wide. Would 275 tuck in behind the wheel arch?
