C6 wheels ... what tires ? cheap ones needed

Got these rims on the way
http://www.jeffgdula.com/images/wheels1.jpg

But now my question is, I guess they came with 245/40/18 up front, however I have a set of 275/40/18 tires laying around so I'll use those for now.

The back ones came with 285/35/19 ... can I run a slightly different size or what ? My concern is price, I've been quoted quite a bit for the rears, but that's mainly for Goodyear tires and for Micheline tires.

It seems like the Goodyears are not a good deal for the price. Now Kumho tires seem to have great reviews, however has anyone run them on rims that size ?

It's like brake pads I guess, you can't get long tread life, low noise, comfort, excellent grip in dry and wet, unless you pay a small fortune. I'm looking mor for long tread life and decent grip, I can live with the road noise.

Also, what size spacers up front ? 2 inch or less ? I plan on upgrading to either C6 or Cadillac brakes within the next year or so.

275's in front will be fine. That's what I'm running with those wheels. The rears will be a lot taller than stock with that size tire. I'm running a 295/35-19 and it really fills out the fenderwells. You have quite a bit of room to play with going wider or narrower or shorter. I'd just play with some of the numbers width wise and see what's least expensive. It'll probably end up being the 285s though. 19's aren't too popular for that width.

Do you have any shots of that car from the rear. Looks nice!

Closest I have to a rear shot with these wheels is this.

I do get rubbing. That's because I use a 4thgen rear axle along with a 1" spacer. Without the spacer they tucked too far in and wouldn't mount to the flange without pressing firmly against the inner fenderwell. And with the 1" it puts them a hair wider than the front and will kiss the fenderlip when I hit a good bump with someone in the car. Ideally, a 3/4" spacer would be perfect but would be too thin.

I just swaped in a 4th gen posi into my 89 camaro today. i can get a set of c6 chrome rims like yours but im looking at how to fit them. do u have a 2in spacer in the front? and the 1 inch in the back? and one other question how did you end up hooking up your ebrake for the 4th gen rear? because mine is hooked up but it seems like it wont tighten the rear brakes, idk if i should tighten the adjuster all the way and then try t or do i need different brake cables
thanks
