Hey all, I'm getting ready to purchase some new rims & tires for my '83 Z. I've been researching for a bit on what rim & tire I think would look best. I've decided on the Cragar s/s (15 x 7) with BF Goodrich 225/60r15 or 235/60r15 all around.

Question is, I'm reading a lot about spacers. From what I've read about the rim/tire combo I've selected, I'm under the impression I can just purchase the rims & tires, have them mounted and balanced and install them on the car the way they are w/o need of spacers. Is this correct?

Also, anyone know if the 235/60r15 would fit on a thirdgen w/o rubbing?

I plan on purchacing from www.newstalgiawheel.com. Has anyone purchased from this website? Any comments?

You won't have any problem with the wheel/tire size you've selected. I have 235/60 15's on the front on my 84z and 275/60 15's on the rear mounted on 15x8 rally wheels with 4" backspacing and have no clearance problems. Stock z28 wheels were 15x7 with 4.5" backspacing. I would go with 4.5" backspacing to tuck the wheels in a little better. Hope this helps.

Thanks!. I ordered the Cragar ss's with BF's 235/60r15's yesterday. I'll post a pic after I install them. They should arrive by Wed next week.
