okay im looking to put new rims on my car soon, but i dont know what i want, not a fan of the rounded 5 spoke american racing ones cuz i really dont think they fit our cars, we broke out of the traditional muscle look and those rims just dont appeal to me, anyone have pics of a nice set of rims? im thinking 17" ZR1's or C6's i dont know yet i just want multiple ideas and opinions because i cant decide on a look. My budget is pretty flexible i have like $600 at my disposal in the average month but lets not go overboard here, im not droppin an insane amount of $ for some rims lol post up some pix, photoshopped or not i dont care, what do you think would work with my car?

I second the ZQ8's... Im very happy with them compared to the stock wheels...

 

i like the z06's too as for the ZQ8's they just look like a flashy stock, my issue with the zo6's is i dont know how they look with blue, im painting mine in august to a darker blue almost like on the vette's but would i go chrome or black with them? anyone able to photoshop a set on my car? Just got a new computer and its not liking my photoshop

I like mine. I get a lot of compliments on them. I should have special ordered the 8in rears with a 4.5 backspacing but "live and learn". They only come in 15s though. American Racing AR-23`s There Painted and clear coated,

 

Im representing the ZR1s i was thinking about z06's but i think the zr1s fit are cars a little better.

 

i was looking at the AR's but the 15 part kinda turned me off to them, i wanna see if i can get something like the zr1s but just a hair thicker on the spokes

 

those rims suck too narrow... cant put 275s on them....

 

yeah dude if u want 17s they are like 17x8 too narrow otherwise i would have gotten them i like the look no..i love the look but just too narrow....

 

im refering to the aftermarket IROC RIMS are 16x8 17x8 or 18x8 and i think there are bigger ones but no bigger then 18 belongs on thirdgens....but the width is too narrow for my likings at only 8 inches, i like having 275/40/r17 tires on the back so thats too wide for the narrow 8 inch rim. thats why i have ZR1s 17x9.5 wide....

the cheepest z rated tire i found for the iroc is the raptor at $88 ea. or so.

 

Remember, if you get larger rims you will be paying a bit more for tires.

I think a set of polished IROC rims look good for how inexpensive they are.

 

ROH Snypers rock. 17" x 9", all around 275s up front, 285s out back

Only available in the 4th gen offset now,which means getting the Skulte adaper spacers all around, or just up front & a 4th gen rear, for no rear ones.

 

i love iroc rims, correct me if im wrong but they came in 17's and 16's right? i want a polished set but i dont have the time or patience to polish them up

 

dont believe they ever came in 17s stock, but the aftermarket chrome IROCs are nice in 17s just not very wide only 17x8 so u could only run 245s on them check out hawks i think they seel the rims...

 

If you want a certain design, but it doesn't come in the width you want, youu can always just get them widened.

Say, from a 8" to 11", or whatever.

 

im thinking 16 inch irocs for now, classic look, and i like the style, not a fat tire but not too thin to where im gonna bang it up on a pot hole

 

i got a set of 91-92 z28 rims chromed for my 91 z28

 

IROCs only came in 16" and a few cars had 15" (88-90 style).

 

Personally, and I guess it's what you like best, I think the 5 star rims look best, all the other shapes just don't look elegant to me... that first pic at the top of the thread, black with silver edge, tight Just don't go to big, I guess that's personal preference too

If you can find them, I think the AR Ventura rims look real good on Camaro. If not polished IROC rims look real good too.

you can get irocs in 15-20" now in the chrome style

 

10 Spoke Camaro SS wheels look good on Thirdgens... Don't know if its your thing but I'm selling a set.
