Re: zr1 wheels

This is only my opinion so I hope no one takes this personally. I belive certain color rims look good on certain cars. I'll list below, but remember its just my opinion...

Blue cars - chrome, black, silver
White cars - silver, black, sometimes white
Red cars - silver, black
Green cars - silver, black, chrome
Black cars - silver, black, chrome
Yellow cars - silver, black

Dont kill me!!! lol

There are many versions of the ZR1 wheels. I have seen 17x9, 17x9.5, 17x11... And I dont think any of them are made for thirdgen fitment yet, which means you will still need adapters. American Racing has a few third gen fitment wheels in 17"... You could go 17x8 in front w/255/40-17 and 17x9 in the rear w/ 275/40-17.... unless you want fatter tires. I have 18x9 in front with 265/35-18 and 18x10 in the rear with 295/35-18.

Re: zr1 wheels

I think chrome is very easy to clean and take care of. However if you neglet the wheels they could rust, pit, flake. I have chrome wheels on my car, when they get dirty I just wipe them off with a micro fiber towel. Every so often I will polish them. . I hear polished wheels are a pain to take care of. Im not sure of that because i never own a set of polished wheels.

Re: zr1 wheels

i got a set of 17in black zr1s with a polished lip, they look damn good. im running a 9.5 up front with 275/40 tread bolted onto a 2in wheel spacer, and a 11inch rear with 315/35 tread on a 1.75 spacer. i haven't driven the car with these rims yet though, i imagine i may be getting some rubbing on the inside of the front wheel wells, just something ill have to figure out when the time comes i suppose.
