IROC wheel question

Hi you guys, I have a problem with some IROC, Z28, RS wheels they put on the 91-92 models. I bought two of them with tires to help a guy out not realizing that they are front and rear specific. Now I have two rears and have been unable to locate any fronts. From doing a search it seems that the offset is the only difference on these wheels; is that correct? These are the rims that are flat with two stripes on each spoke. I read the rears cannot go on the front because they will contact the tie rod ends, but if this is the only difference then would I be able to run them with spacers behind them that matches the offset difference? Also I have read that these are the same wheels put on some of the s10/s15 trucks, but I was told that they use four of the rears on the trucks, that none of them will go on the front of a camaro also. Is this correct? Thanks you guys. Any help would be appriciated. I would rather not waste the money I have in these wheels if I don't have to.

Re: IROC wheel question

Anyone know if I can mount rears on the front if I use spacers to match the offset? Anyone know the offset difference? I dont have a front to compare to, but I know where I can get some rears. Thanks ahead of time.

No you can't. Unless you are willing to install longer wheel studs in the front. Then you will have to use a 5mm and a 3mm spacer together or a .50" spacer by it self. GTA wheels are the same way, the fronts have a deeper lip than the rears. Its retarded if you ask me.....
