help with backspacing
I dont know as much about htis as many of you guys, so heres the question. I have been looking around at some simple low cost wheels for my 89, and I have heard the our cars are 4.75" up front and 5.25" out back for backspace, Now I have been looking at some american racing wheels and is confused now about the backspace. They ar listed at like 3.75 and 4" backspace, would a spacer be needed, because it seems like with less backspace means less wheel would be setting inward to hit anything, plus I had some american racing wheels on my old 83 t/a I had about 10 years ago, and dont remember having to do anything other than just bolt them on. Anyone please clear this up for me, so i at least know if I should be looking at other wheels and backspaces. Thanx alot in advance for any help you give.

Re: help with backspacing
Less bs means they would be further out, not in. You might only need spacers if they were sitting further in, like with MORE bs.
