IROC-Z rims, different widths??
Is there more than one version of IROC-Z aluminum rims, I have 16" staggered ones that I bought for my base camaro, and they only have 225 tires on them in back and 215s on front, so I'm wondering if some of the iroc-z rims are wider than others, as most seem to have 245s on them?

Re: IROC-Z rims, different widths??
True factory 16" IROC-Z Wheels are 8" wide. They are made with a front and rear offset, due to the fact it was cheaper for GM to make the front/rear wheels different than to make the suspension right in the first place.
The Correct size for stock Iroc-Z Wheels is P245/50R16.
You can get away with a 245/45R16 in front and as big as a P255/50R16 in back with no issues. Other than that you're wasting your time with other sizes.
P225/60R16's have been spotted on many Camaro's and Firebird, T/A's but they are not right for these cars. they are too tall and too narrow and degrade the handling from what the cars were originally designed for.
Spend the money and get the correct tires on the car when you can, You'll appreciate the way the car handles when it's at least at factory specs.

Re: IROC-Z rims, different widths??
Thanks, that was what I was wondering, as I couldn't find any information to suggest that there was an IROC-Z rim that shipped with 225s on it, and I want the best handling I can get, well, till I can shell out for aftermarket anyways(snagged some nice 16" aluminum Zs for only $100 with two good tires on them, rims aren't pitted at all either) hence I got the rims to begin with, I have 14" steel rims with 215/75s on it atm...
