1991 15x7 High Tech Turbo vs. 1987 16x8 High Tech Turbo
ok so i saw these on another forum and would like to get some info on them, 1987 16x8 High Tech Turbo
vs.
1991 15x7 High Tech Turbo
the 16's look like they are rounded outwards but the 15's look like they angle straight inward to the lugnuts? is this correct or does it just look this way?
any opinions would be nice i like the design but i am leaning toward the 15's, so tell me what you think! and also aluminum or steel?

Yes, the 15 inch stock rims sloped inwards towards the lugnuts, whereas the early style Trans am 16's bubbled out. I know 'cause my 15th Anniversary came with the original 20 slot 16's, and mine do that. xD I'm personally tempted to drop down to 15's just so I can use white wall tires.
I believe the WS6 rims from the later model formula's were 16's, but sloped inwards and had large center caps. I've never owned a set, so I can't say for certain on that.
HOWEVER, if you wanted the bulged out rim style like the original 20 slot 16's, the old style Fiero rims had a bulge out style, but also a trim ring of some sort.

You can't use Fiero wheels on our cars. Wrong bolt circle, wrong backspacing. And the only HTT wheels used on fieros were 14x6". Fieros that had 15" wheels had GTA-looking diamond-lace styling. Those can't be used on these cars, either.

I see! Sorry, I actually had never realized the bolt pattern was different on the Fiero, simply because I've never seen one without the caps off! xD My bad. I always liked the style of 20 slots that the Fieros came with, it's a shame they wouldn't fit.

There's an easy solution. Find yourself an '88 Fiero. It's the only year that had the good rear suspension geometry. Also had better brakes, and an improved front suspension.
