Thinking about painting stock wheels black
Hey im thinking about painting the original wheels on my 85' Z28 Black. My dad and i (mostly him) painted the ground effects from gold to black. Then we got the windows tinted. And im just liking the black more and more. I was wondering what you guys think it would look like (better or worse) if we were to paint them. If we did end up doing it, do you think it would be good to take the gold pinstripes off since that would be the only gold left? Do you think the emblems would go with the wheels?
Thanks,
Chris

i say no, iv seen nice looking black ones but the only ones (In my opinion) that can make an good "Murdered out" Look are the 91/92 z28's, so i say no on this, just repaint the wheels gold and maybe add an small touch that looks good, like diffrent center caps, valve caps, lug nuts, calipers/rotors, all these things help wheels apperance DIRASTICALLY!

Paint all the gold black and polish the lip and the face. You need something to visually separate the wheel from the tire.

Paint the back & spaces between the arms black, but leave the 5 arms gold, or at the very least...The upper 2 lips of the 5 arms. And leave the lip gold, regardless of how you do the 5 arms.
