I bought a set of 1998 vette wheels off Craigslist the other day. The p/o had started stripping them to polish and then decided to buy a set polished already instead. So I got em for 250$. I got the first wheel painted and thought I would get everyones opinion on it. The paint is temporary, I will be polishing these myself but not now. I have other things to accomplish before I spend the time to polish them. So for about 50$ I did this with a couple spray cans.

I'd leave the centers the colour they are right now. All black wheels are too dark. You need the contrast of light/dark on wheels.

I just did the same exact thing on some smart car wheels for a guy i know. Smart car not so cool but the wheels turned out awesome. The whole car was painted the rainbow flake which was kind of obnoxious but looked cool at the same rate and especially out in the sun. He had extra flake i put in the clear coat and sprayed out of a gun. What would be your plan for the car they go on if you for some chance decide to keep it this way?
