another freakin tire thread. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
yes i have used the search function and read every thread regarding anything even remotely close to the topic i want answered but am still not 100 percent on if it will work or not. I plan to buy a set of convo pros soon (15x6 front, and 15x8.5 rear). Rears have 5 inch backspacing. I would really like to run a 26" tire up front and a 28" out back and an looking at the M/T et street radials. They come in 265 60R15(28"x11.50") and wanted to know if i would have issues with rub on hard launches. 70/30 lakewoods shocks on front and 50/50 lakewoods shocks out rear. Anyone running this setup??? any info would be greatly appriciated i look to this site for all of my info you guys are awesome. If anyone has any pictures that would be amazing!!! as pictures usually say more than words. thanks again guys.

they might rub the rear a little with the taller tire is the rear is not centered, but shouldn't need more than some hammer work in the inner wheel well.

Re: another freakin tire thread. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I'm more worried about my fender lip catching the tire under hard launch. Didn't know if I would have to roll the fender lip or not. Not worried about the inner fender well I can clearance that if I need to just worried about the fender lip hitting. Anyone else got any input?

Re: another freakin tire thread. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I have 15x8 with 5.5 backspace and 275-60-15's on my 86 sport coupe. I had to hammer the inner fender in the front lower area. I also had to remove the piece of insulation behind the seatbelt recoil so it would work again. Because of hammering this area it presses against it. I have no rubbing on the outer fender lip.

Thank you that does give me some info. I'm not to sure how the convo Pros will sit being a half inch wider and half inch less backspacing. I think mine will sit out a little more than yours does but I really do appreciate your help. Anyone runnin convo pros?

My wheels are summit stars. The width and backspace aren't too different than yours. You should be able to fit 275-60's with no problems.
