I want to run Draglites, Can I without shaving?

I want to run these wheels but I hear a lot of things about grinding down the calipers to clear. Mostly for the rear PBR caliper while on the front with my ls1 brakes most say a simple spacer does the trick.

So what's the 100% truth?

I will love to be able to run these without having any issues. Otherwise I will just et street the crosslaces.

I wouldn't run spacers on the front!

TireRack/Summit Racing should be able to answer your fitment questions.

you only remove less then 1/4" from the lower out side caliper cooling fins. with the draglites (15"rims).

easy fast.

These would be the rears correct? So would a 15x8 with 4.5 bs do the trick? Any problem with a 15x9?

What about the front? From what I have been reading the front fit with a small spacer. Sorta how I have the crosslaces now to clear the caliper. What would be the size for the front? 15x4 by what backspace?

I hate being a newb in this.

Re: I want to run Draglites, Can I without shaving?

15x9 fit fine on mine. I think they are only 4" bs. Slicks on the rim stick out a little bit. PO must have trimmed. 15x10s fit with stock rear and 5.5 bs. If you want any more than that, like 15x12, it's time to use the minitub kit. Fronts your bs normally just depends on the rim size you pick, as they don't offer a lot of bs choices. 15x4s should fit but don't expect to put the normal size tire on it or crave canyons. Longer studs wouldn't hurt either since draglites use a floating style hub so the lugs are acouple inches long.

Took minimal grinding on my stock caliper fins in the back.....I actually think it took longer to take the wheels/tires off than it did to modify the fins....

Re: I want to run Draglites, Can I without shaving?

I had to grind alot on my front calipers on my 98, if you add in a spacer you better put some longer studs in to be safe, and every track I know of makes you have the longer studs with draglites and prostars.
