widest tire

What is the widest possible tire for the front and rear on 86 camaro v6 sport coupe. I am running 255 on rear right now and want about 295.

Re: widest tire

What fits has been done to death, but it mostly depends on your budget. How to fit it also depends on what other mods you have done.
You can have a 295 up front only if you go to an 18x10.5" wheel, and that's really pushing it as far as what can be tucked.
If you just want 245/60R15s up front, and 295/50R15s in the rear, then that's really easy.

Re: widest tire

You might. It depends on what wheels you choose, what big brake option you choose, and if spacers are legal in your state.

like said before, spacers have NOTHING to do with the tire fitting in the wheel well. they are just there to make certain wheels fit that do not have the correct specs for the car they are being installed on.

Re: widest tire

OK. Apparently that din't work in a link. Always has before. Odd it didn't this time.

Try this https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/sear...archid=4259404. It worked as a Copy & Paste just now. Or go to the Search feature & type in 'widest rear tire' & you'll get the same results.
