Im about to purchase a set of 17x9 zr1 wheels. Orginal GM i beleive.

Which wheels spacers will i need for this? anybody know?

 

2in will work that's what I had on mine.

 

that sound about right, however, is there any way i could make it work with a 1.5?

Im really not trying to have them sit TOO far out

 

I really can't say for sure, but when I was looking into the 17x11's for my car..a little bit of shaving of the bump stops..and some hammering (or massaging which ever you prefer) of the inner fender well was required with a 1.5" spacer.

I think you'll be okay with a 1.5" spacer for your 9" wide wheels. But again that's just opinion and I recommend getting a second one before you pull the trigger on purchasing your spacers if you haven't already.

 

I have 17x9.5 96 Raim Air wheels.
I run 1.5 and 1.25. I have BAER brakes on front.
