True couldn't get time this weekend moving to new place ... So hopefully in next week I'll have time to mount a tire
Yea I know I can message them in a bit but I think some custom ones would look better than the ones that come I'm going to use apart of the center cap cut the center out and make a carbon fiber one instead

yes there are 18x10 all around !
NOt staggered
Yes the first post it was staggered setup for the 89 rs camaro i had but that camaro ended in a sad story the mechanic i had was running a chop shop posted the what happen in one of the post above

but anyways decided to head in different direction and got 18x10 all due to better handling and to get a more agressive mean look and i just like the look better instead of the staggered setup 18x10 rear and 18x8.5 in front i had Budnik Gassers 18x10 and 18x8 and wasnt digging the narrow width wheel in front

I was looking at the same set-up 18 X 10 on all four corners. I just checked online and you're right they all come with +25 Offsets.

Can't wait to see them w/ tires!

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

Sorry for car being dirty I drive it everyday lol

So it looks like I can run a 1inch spacer all around the front tucks in perfect with the 1.25inch spacer but rear sticks out 1/4 inch so I might just run 1inch spacer in the rear instead off 1.25inch to tuck it in bit more I do need to roll the rear fenders and the fronts I need to roll also just to be safe I do need to remove the front liner

XXR's are hitting the third gen community like they did and left the 240/miata community..

cheap, good looking wheels but be ready for imitators

Lol true

many people has done many things to thirdgens only a handful maybe more actually post what they do on here so what one person done probably another person has done that also people are going to imitate even if they don't realize it lol....
Unless your driving something like this

with a duramax diesal twin turbo that be different but i think a guy is doing that swap on this forum or a viper engine but that's been done also
How bout a Toyota supra 2jz engine in a thirdgen ..... Can handle 800+ on stock bottom end but that be a love hate type of thing
Nissan powered mustang
http://www.hotrodhomepage.com/hrhp/2...wered-mustang/
but anyways enough day dreaming

This is a budget build that I drive everyday and doesnt hurt my pocket so I don't mind that ..most people on thirdgen are cheap same with 240/miata crowd..so they go for swap meet deals or cheaper version of parts you can find these cars cheap all day long.. if my thirdgen wasn't a daily driver I probably put the best of the best of every part I can get my hands but then I would only want to drive it in the weekends or only on sunny days what fun is that

You need a full side shot! Pull the car out of the parking spot(without turning the wheels) and snap a shot. Looks good though. Like how the color of the wheel matches your IROC door decal.

The rears you should be able to put the 1in spacer and not have to roll the fenders. I didn't roll mine.

This set and the ones on mine are the only XXR wheels I have seen on a Thirdgen. What others have you seen?

Yea I will do that it was late and sun going down and had a lil free time from moving lol

Yea those 1.25 spacers I was going to use for another pair of wheels but UPS lost 3 lol I'm going to get a 1inch spacer

Is that what your running in the rear ? Your wheel is a 10.5 if I'm not mistaken

Thanks You after putting the rear on I was surprised the front tuck in so good thought it was going to stick out like the rear But yes smaller spacer is going to be used for rear

Do you know the difference between front and rear ? Looks like rear sticks out 1/4 inch compared to front Just curious seems on why wheel sticks out more

Your right that it was going to tuck more with full weight on wheels

Thanks

The 530 does look good but, try looking at different brands with that similar style instead of trying to adapt a 5x114 wheel to fit our 5x120.65

for 9.75 all around you probably need 1.25 or 1.5 spacer all around
for 8.75 needs 1inch allaround the +35 offset needs a 1 inch spacer too
i tried 18x9.75 with 275 35 im trying to look for pic but think i deleted it on phone
not trying too get on you but that set up is a pain
they look good but just to much of a pain they come in 8.75 and 9.75 i personally dont like the STRETCH tire look on a camaro another and those width where design so you can achieve the stretch tire look another issue is if you get a flat you have to take off spacer and the wheel to mount your spare tire only a handful of places makes spacers only good thing about them is they do look sweet and you probably can re-sell them quicker due to bolt pattern to adapt you need spacers anyway so you have to find adapters that bolts to thirdgen bolt pattern and changes to 5x114
the wheels you are looking at are euro design and can find other wheels brands that look alike just look in the BMW/AUDI car scene they like to run similar wheels i was personally looking at MIRO111 wheels i think 2 members have them on thirdgen just search i also was look into http://www.velocitymotoring.com/wheels.html only issue i had with then is they only carry up to 9.5 width and 8.5 up front and alot of the online websites sold as a staggered set i didnt call to see if they would sell non staggered all 9.5 also the MIRO & VMR are 5x120 bolt pattern and you get the style you want there alittle more expensive but i think its worth it
reason why i didnt get it was i just want 10in width all around 10 inch wide allaround just sounded better then 9.5

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

hahaha yea, i figure i can mount up a 285 in the rear and a 265 or 275 up front. i already found the adapters, not to expensive either, which is good because im on a tight budget. wouldnt the 20mm offset be better up front? do you know the offset of a 4th gen wheel? i have 4th gen 5spokes right now wth 2inch spacers... i just hate them... and there to small anyway lol i was also thinking that between the 521 and the 530... the 530 is more modern, and its only a half inch difference in width.... not a big deal with a good set of tires. as for the flat problem? i can always put in a different spare .... so the pattern is 4.5 instead of 4.75

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

285 can fit up front 265 or 275 that be quiet a bit of tire stretch up front if your going 9.75 you can fit bigger tire in rear I'm thinking going 295 all around will see I still have room up front ... im not a big fan of tire stretch you should search on google xxr 530 on some imports to get a good idea on tire size and tire stretch seems most are running 225/235 on the 8.75 with large amount of stretch you should be fine with 275 on 8.75 maybe 285 but that might create a unusal tire bulge due to the unusal wheel width ...stretch tire make wheel look smaller and makes wheel to fender gap seem larger it can make or break the look of the car also I think 4th gen wheels are around 40 sum thing for offset that's why you need 2 inch spacer
But you have to do your search on the tire size but it might be ok but have to mount tire on wheel to know for sure

What size are you going to run I think you should run 18x 9.75 all around lol IMO

http://g35driver.com/forums/g35-seda...s-527-a-2.html

Nissan with 18x9.75
With 275 on rear so 285 would be good not much stretch if any

Difference in section width between 265 and 295 is like 1.16inch I believe

Yea spacers not that expensive there out there

The setup should look sweet tho

Look at this also

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

bitchen, yes if i could run a 9.75 up front , i would as long as the wheel didnt look so deep. i want the rears deeper then the front, but who knows , if the 18*8.75 are still out of stock, i might just do 9.75 all the way around,.... for the record, tire streaching is gross and its bad for the wheel and tire... and wont handle at the tires optimum ability.
285 or 295 35 18 tires would look really good with those deep concave wheels, would be really sick on my car... its summit white, 2 inch drop, carbon fiber nascar styled spoiler, black carbon cowl strips on the hood, 20% window tint. carbon t-top rain gutters. ect. and im in the proses of revers cowl inducting the hood into the radiator, and doing a black center of the hood from the windshield down into the scoop... kinda like the new zl1... idk.. lol what do you think??? yes or no

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

Any recent pics sounds like a lot going I have to see it

I'm going for a real clean simple mean aggressive look I'm thinking of using real carbonfiber for headlight buckets side view mirrors and rear stock spoiler and hood louvers and grill with tinted taillights with artic white paint job nothing much

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

head light buckets will be carbon ... and the hood strips will go away once i finish the hood and put the big section in the center of the hood of carbon or matte black, the driving lights are no longer there, and the turn signals up front are gone and are now being built into the headlights, and the openings are going to be ducted to the brakes... its a long ongoing project lol..

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

Hmmmm IMO I think if you do zl1 hood strip those 2 strips should be removed you have now as imo i dont like zl1 strip would look much more better also zl1 has strip on roof and trunk i believe also ? U plan to do that too Also should paint the light buckets to match strip to give more blance look also you should add to ends of the wing too to make wing look complete
But it's look **** tone better from when you first got it

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

yes, when the zl1 strip goes on, the other stripes will be removed, the headlight buckets will be matching whatever i do the hood out of. as far as the spoiler it was done for pur function, and yes it works lol... looks was second, so i still contemplate the end pieces, but i may make them... carbon is really easy if your making flat surfaces. do you think the 530 wheels will go with the euro race look, im actualy building the car for the silver state classic... whenever its finished that is lol, its still got a long way to go

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday

Or extend the ends like this and incorporated into your wing in one piece
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?not...02783129831990

Or add the curved piece to the ends like
