2011 camaro rims replicating iroc rims??
i work at a chevy dealer as a tech, and during alot of PDI's, iv noticed some of the new camaros having rims that look almost exact to the 85-87 iroc rims. obviously in a 19" version. but maybe this could be cost effective compared to aftermarket over sized iroc replicas?? these are almost tooo alike that it smacks you in the face when you see them. they dont have the two tone paint scheme thos. but the structure and design are near identical

Are you talking about these? Closest looking ones i could find, even though they dont really favor them much.

Re: 2011 camaro rims replicating iroc rims??
keep in mind its more like the 85-87, not 88-90. they obviously cant be identical, but just looking at them tells me what style of rim the designers had floating around in their head lol.

Yeah they definitely used older designs from the camaro heritage to inspire a lot of the design on the new models. Need to stop looking at pictures of new camaros, too tempting. :-)

Don't the newer Impalas run something very similar to that?

Re: 2011 camaro rims replicating iroc rims??
Can I tell ya, I don't think I'd ever buy a 5th gen Camaro. I went with my nephew looking at new Camaros at two dealerships today, maybe saw 60 total in various trim levels and one or two caught my eye. The ZL454 was some serious stuff but at $54k, not happening. But in the end, I thought, no. The car just has this goofy look to it that turns me off. And no matter the trim level the dark cars, blues and blacks, were especially unappealing. Only the white Camaros and burnt orange painted Camaros had an appeal whatsoever. You know even the 6 cylinder has 330 odd hp, but it sounded like a Toyota Corolla. Oh, and the wheels, yes, the OP is right, I seen some that looked almost identical to my '86 Z wheels except no black painted center rim.

As good a place as any...I was under the impression all of the new gm cars were running 5x120mm bolt pattern and not the typical 5x4.75? That original wheel website shows otherwise?

Hello,
I would like to see these on a thirdgen or a photoshopped pic at least!

Re: 2011 camaro rims replicating iroc rims??
that looks awsome. if i were to ever try to install them on a 3rdgen, i would paint it the two tone dark silver in the same areas the iroc rims have. like the line in each spoke, around the lugnuts, and one the background area of the spoke. then it would look perfect

Re: 2011 camaro rims replicating iroc rims??
but they would look a little bigger than that because they are 18". it looks like you shrunk it a little to fit within the tires on that pic. but still good job on the photoshop

Re: 2011 camaro rims replicating iroc rims??
I wonder why so many of the new Camaros have the standard 5 spoke option and not this option.
To me, the above is a much nicer looking wheel than the more common one we see all the time.
Don't get me started on those butt ugly all black wheels that new Camaros have. They look like oversized spare tire wheels.
