So I have a set of 17x8 wheel that I had on an S-10. They are now on my 89 Camaro. Yes I know bigger in the rear would be good but these were free!! So the tires on them now are 225/50 R17. Really low profile, besides worn out! I was wondering if a 255/50 R17 would look too big or what? Help Please?

 

245/45/17's would be a better fit and look better in my opinion.

 

what would be the height of such tire and wheel combo? And side wall height ?

 

If you are a "TECHNO" do your own research....

 

Wheels have nothing to do with the resulting tire height or sidewall height.

Look up your tire choice size on http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp & it will tell you those specs.

DJ, you could have just said 25.7 inches is a typical diameter of a 245/45/17 tire.

what would be the smallest tire I could put on a 17 x 8 in rim ,right now I have 195 60 15 inch tires on my soul,but my friend gave me 17 x 8 mustang gt rims .I want to go wider but not real wide .Any help would be appreciated .Thanks
