3.5 Back spacing

Will a 15x8 with a 3.5 back spacing work on my car? What is the difference between a 3.5 and a 4.5?

Re: 3.5 Back spacing

3.5" backspacing would stick the wheels out further. IMO if they are nice looking rims, that is where they should sit. I don't like the sunken battleship looking wheels.

I had 15x10's with a 3.5 back spacing, here is how far they stuck out. a 15x8 should be pretty even with the fender.. IIRC those were 295.60.15's

Re: 3.5 Back spacing

I am running a 15x8in.wheel with a 3.75in BS.on the rear of my car and the "widest" tire I can run without it sticking out past the wells flair is a 255/60r15. I prefer the way the tire bulge is flush with the flair and the tread is just in side of the well. Your 3.5in.BS wheel is only slightly more to the outside so I'm going to say they will look the same with that tire. By the way I went with a 235/60r15 tire with a 7in.wide wheel (3.75 BS) in the front to give it a staggered look .
