Need experienced opinions..

On what wheel/tire combo to go w/on my '86 T/A. The car has yet to be shipped to me (eBay win) but I want to know if I can go w/17" ZR1 replicas on it. I have only previously owned 4th gen T/As, so I'm not sure what size/width a person can get away w/on these cars, nor do I neccesarily know what 'looks right' on this era of F-cars. Any and all opinions would be welcome. Pics would be even better... ;^)

Thanks, all!

Re: Need experienced opinions..

Wow. Major 'Newb' move there. Just noticed the 42 page thread that was right below my post that covers every wheel for these cars known to man.. LOL!

I still just would really like to know if a set of 17" ZR1 reps. will bolt right on to my '86 though.(?)

Thanks. And double-thanks for all those who resisted flaming the sh*t out of me for that question.

Bill

Re: Need experienced opinions..

You will need bolt on spacers, around 2" thick, front and rear

Re: Need experienced opinions..

Thanks, Bud. But ThirdGenfest just PM'd me re: a set of refinished 16×8" GTA wheels painted any color I want (I'm thinking graphite spokes for my Flame Red T/A w/grey cloth interior) for $550. I don't think I can pass these up @ that price. Btw, is there a downside when using larger wheels and spacers?
Thanks for the info.

It is harder on your front suspension parts.
