Hey guys, I love the look that white lettered tires gives a car and have always wished I could get a pair on my T/A, but the way I understood it is that nobody makes a set that will fit on crosslace wheels.Then one day I found this picture while on one of the third gen Facebook pages...




Could this just be a photoshop or does Goodrich actually make a white lettered tire that will fit on crosslace rims?

 

I'm pretty sure that's the tire BF recently released called the Comp T/A 2 which replaced the BF sport T/A. Comp T/A 2 is available with raised white lettering

 

Oh ok, cool! I know what tires I'm getting next time it's time for new dirt boots!

 

according to BFGs website, the Comp 2 is not available with raised white letters.

I searched the site by tire size and they list nothing in a 245/50/16 with raised white letters.

No white lettered tires out there that till fit. Why would you want them anyway - they were not a factory option and in over 20 years never have seen them in the 245-50-16 size.

 

Umm, because I like the look? Was not aware customization is no longer allowed on third gens. Back in the day we used to even have a set on our old family Aerostar. lol Imo they look good on any vehicle and should be offered in more sizes.

 

I can't see a pop up on my phone, but the chart I linked clearly shows that there aren't any RWLs in your size.

 

I wasn't trying to be a dick there, merely pointing out that I have never seen raised white letters in 245-50-16 size. You r only option (if you want them) is to find a 225-55-16 tire with the white letters, which is going to be hard these days too. 15" is no problem, but the tread patterns suck.

 

Yep I like the look too. And they seem to be available
(P245/50ZR16) in the
G-Force Comp 2 and Sport Comp model tires. Good to know for those of us that like the look.
Now I just need to save my pennies for those tires
and my Cragar SS rims!....

 

I just looked at the pop-up. It says "options, such as RWL..." It's an example of an option. It doesn't mean it exists. Look at the table I linked to. It's clear that RWL is NOT available on these tires in ANY size, and certainly not in a 245/50/16.

The only way you're going to get RWLs in that tire size is to buy one of those white tire pens and color the letters in yourself.

 

Good to know. I guess us "white letter" people will have to look else where.
And as a PS....I've already done the white tire pen thing and it just does not work very well.
