Crazy rubbing upfront, 17x9, could use help

I have C5 brakes and 2.5" spacers, the wheels I have are presumably stock 17x9 SS wheels (from LS1 cars) (I am 99% sure they are the stock wheels, not some repro model with different offset) and tires are 275/40/17

it seems outside front edge of the tires rubs on inner fender liner, I've pushed back and screwed in the liner as much as I can, that's not it, it's bad enough that it wore a hole right through it :/

what's the correct spacer size? I suspect mine are too "thick" and the wheel actually sticks out slightly past fender as well which further makes me lean toward that conclusion.

if someone can tell me what to measure to figure this out I'm capable of that, but I'm not sure where to start

thank you in advance for any help I may get here.

hmm I may have answered my own question by finding this: http://www.skulte.com/adapterfaq.html , isn't that how it always is? lol

2" spacer the norm then I guess and I'm off by .5 which is a lot

guess I'll see if I can trade someone my 2.5 for their 2

Your going to want around zero offset, or 5" of bs with those wheels. Measure the backspacing and get the proper spacer/adapter. Most likely you will need a 2" spacer.

yeah that skulte page has a really nice article, I'll get one wheel off and figure it out.

I'm searching now, but who sells them now? it seems skulte.com is throwing an error..

Doesn't the c5 brakes add about 3/8" as well?

I would think 1.5"-2" spacer would be good.

Only adds .22 or so. Won't matter really, but if you wanted to could use 1/4 less frfont spacer
