Tallest rear tire?

I have a '92 Camaro RS that I want to put a LM7 and the Silverado 5-spd (NV3500) with 17/18 corvette wagon wheels. The problem is I have 3.73s. I don't want to put my 3.23s back in. The first gear will be So low and fifth will be even more rpms than my 700R4. I would rather just run a slightly taller tire in the rear. So, not that I'm going to run the tallest tire possible but just so I know my range, does any body know what the tallest 275 you can fit in the stock fender. I will roll the lip.

Thank you,
Steven

A 275-40-18 tire is a readily available size and is 1" taller than a stock 245-50-16 one (about 4%). That was the OEM size on the rear of the C5 vettes...

Re: Tallest rear tire?

What about for the front? I don't want to end up with a rake. The front is currently a little lower than the rear, but the LM7/NV3500 should be a tad lighter than the 305/700R4 and I'm moving the battery to the back. What will fit up front. I already checked and a 245-50-17 is an inch taller than a 245-50-16 but will it fit? I think it's already rubbing somewhere. How do y'all fit 275s up front?

Very easy - just get the right offset on a 9.5" wheel and it fits.
