1984 T/A Tire opinions
Hey there, I have a 84 Trans Am that will need new tires soon. Currently it has the stock 215/65/15 and I was debating wether to upgrade that size to a 235/60/15. I will be using the stock High Tech 20 slot 15x7 Rims. Just wonder what the pros and cons of doing the upgrade would be vs keeping it stock. Would it be harder on the bearings etc? The car is fairly stock with the WS6 package and a Spohn Wonder bar. Or is it best to stick with the stock size? Thanks!

235/60/15 work fine on my '84 TA. No rubbing, using the stock 20 slot 15x7 rims.

Hi there the 89 iroc has stock rims also tire rubbed at full turn on drivers side inner fender . it is not real bad. if I were to do it again I would try a 225 front with a 235 or 245 on rear. maybe iroc sits a bit lower who knows

Hmm, maybe I'll take my chance with the 235/60s. I have the stock deep dish 15x7s waiting to go on.
