Re: 255/60/15 on stock wheels
Will be buying 15x8 and 15x4 or 5 wheels next spring, Blew a tire last week so want to get the tires this summer. Will 255/60 work on the stock aluminum trans am wheels or will I run into offset/backspace issues?

Re: 255/60/15 on stock wheels
I know they should go on 8 inch wheels and they will be next April. I was asking will they rub the fenders on stock wheels,
Also just for.my own reference what backspace/offset do I want to run 255s on 15x8 pro stars?

I reread your original question and deleted my answer.
My wheels only came in 3.75 bs.
That's what I have on a 8in. rear wheel with 255/60r15s.
No rubbing any where.
Here's what that looks like.
4.5 bs would tuck in 3/4in more than what you see here and seems to be very popular with wheels and tires in this range.

Yes the 255/60/15's will fit on the stock 15x7 rim, shouldn't rub.
I run 275/60/R15's on the rear with 15x8's and 4" backspacing. They tuck in great and don't rub.
