Changing rims

Hi guys I was at the junkyard today and I saw a 5th gen pontiac Grand Prix with black aluminum rims. I wanted to take the rims but I didn't have the right tool, but when I talked to my dad today he said they wouldn't fit. Is he right? I own a 1986 trans am

Re: Changing rims

I read online but can't really believe everything online, but they said if the aftermarket centerbore is bigger than the ones you have on then they work. Idk I can't find the rims online. They looked like the gold gta rims but they were black with black pontiac caps. They were nice and clean
