Winterizing Trans Am
Unfortunately tomorrow to make a 6 hour 444 mile trip across Texas tomorrow with sleet and ice covered roads. Its already been sleeting and any throttle input turns the car. I posted here because seems natural category for it.
Car is mechanically ready but for any long distance in ice it worries me and the safety of my bird. What steps can I take to makeit safer to drive in colder slippier weather? My Volvo ate this weather up with a winter mode to switch in overdrive. Any such option on a 700r4?

Sand bags in the trunk, winter tires, and a lot of luck. I refuse to drive the formula in anything resembling snow anymore. Had too many close calls.

Expect the back to come out on turns. Give your self extraaaa room to stop. I noticed that shifting it in 1 and 2 helps slow me down sometimes too much to fast tho. I daily drive mine in every weather. I need new tires ASAP tho.
