Ok.. I have to ask.. since when did Charcoal Grey or any dark variant of silver, become "gunmetal"?! Guns metal looks nothing like Charcoal Grey And vise verse!
To me, and maybe I'm dating my self,, Gunmetal, used to be the moniker for "Black Chrome" which did look like a guns metal! Look at a gun,, it has no metalic flakes in it! They dont even reside in the same hue as these new "gunmetal" finishes.. if you really want to be accurate, a guns metal is actually a slight blue hue to its black! Hence "gun bluing" kits for refinishing your beloved Colt 1911! there is no, dark silver (grey) metalic sparkly guns! Is there? I've seen, all colors,, red, gold,pink, camo., Hell, even pink camo.. but never Dark Grey sparkly ones! Lol. Can we just go back to things that are dark grey metalic, aka charcoal grey, Being just that, and things that look like Chrome with a black tint and no sparkles being "gunmetal"?! Maybe im being sensitive, I just remember as a kid seeing a Schwinn Sting Black Shadow ( a black Chrome Sting) bmx frame hanging on the wall of my local bike store and being light headed at its amazingly gorgeous GUNMETAL finish gleaming in all its sinister beauty,, of which, metalic grey, will never ever, ever duplicate! It's a travesty to even compare them! Haha!
