Wheel spacers for autocrossing and drag racing

hey every body i want to try auto crossing and im thinking of picking up a set of c5 z06 wheels for the event. i know you will have to run 2 inch spacers to run them but is it safe to do. i read both good and bad things about the spacers just looking for ppl who have ran these wheels with this set up. also might hit the track with them as well.

This guy is using spacers.
I don't see a problem as long as you use quality studs.

Torque them properly and use quality spacers and nuts and you will be fine.

Re: Wheel spacers for autocrossing and drag racing

Yea I agree with above statement but just to add a bit of info
I've dealt with http://www.motorsport-tech.com high quality and can make to exact specs
Lifetime warranty etc etc

One thing people may not know is that ebay adapters may get the job done but 1) don't offer lifetime warranty 2) are not same quality aluminum used 3) Comparing both I would feel a lot safer with higher quality

Most people will Say things like there not worth it etc etc but idk it's worth it to me and like everything quality you will always pay extra

Mines from website above fit like a glove and smooth when driving no vibrations or anything , ebay versions I had vibrations and just didn't look like quality aluminum but I'm very keen to what I feel driving my car

Re: Wheel spacers for autocrossing and drag racing

wheel spacers are technically not allowed at nhra/ihra tracks. actually in the rule books. that being said I know guys that run them. who actually checks?
