Mickey Thompson tires?!
I'm gettin ready to buy some RWL tires for my 83Z. Since my first choice, the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 are no more, I thought about getting a set of the Mickey Thompson radials. I just wanna know what my fellow third genners think of this tire!!

Re: Mickey Thompson tires?!
do have the power that would warrant a radial? is this for looks? what do you use the car for?
in short, MT e/t streets are a great tire but you should still be able to find the wide oval some places.

Amaro83 , I'm not trying to push the S/T's on you because there are others , not many, but a few.
The thing about the "All Season" S/T Street Radials by M/T is the aggressive tread design. It has a heavy lug to it and I like that .There is not a lot to choose from in a 15in. tire for a primarily driven street car so this fits the bill for me. And having the Mickey Thompson name on it helps.
As far as the gears go I spent a good piece of change to have the 3.42s put in with all the bells and whistles.Love the 3.42s with the Eaton Posi. and have absolutely no regrets. It fits my "have some fun" DD status perfectly.
