Want opinions

Hello! I am considering getting new rims for my firebird, but i don't know what to get or if i should just keep the original ones. I really like the black crosslace rims on the GTA but i dont know how it would look on my car. If you guys don't like that idea please give me suggestions.

You can find some pics on a thirdgen here:

If you do the GTA cross laces from Hawks, go the 17" route. Somebody posted pics of this in the wheels forum and they look great.

Avant Garde M220 might be interesting... you'd have to find adapters:

Rotiform has a bunch of interesting wheels that I'd love to see on a thirdgen... I think most of their designs would work better on a Firebird, especially an early one or a Formula:

Specifically, the CCV, BMI, CBU, IDK, LHR, QLB, and VCE-T. A couple of those with black centers could be a nice alternative to the 82-84 bowling ball cover wheels.

Re: Want opinions

First, don't waste an ounce of your time or money on 16" wheels these days - there are so few tire choices in 245-50-16 that moving up to 17" makes sense.

Second, you are going to reap noticeable handling and braking benefits by moving from 245-50-16 tires to 275-40-17 sized ones.

Go for the Hawks 17" GTA repros, snowflakes look odd on a later 3rd gen bird...
