powder coating wheels

I like to have my original 16 inch wheels blasted and powdercoated.
So I need to know if the small bolts near the outer rim are removable?
What material are they made of?
Powdercoating compagny suggests some sort of plastic, and that they will melt during the process..??

No, you cannot remove them. Unsure of the material though...

Re: powder coating wheels

This guy had his wheels powder coated. It should be really easy to figure out what material the bolts on your wheels are made out of.

Re: powder coating wheels

Thanks.
My car is black as well, but I like my wheels dark grey metallic (anthracit).
If those small bolts are plastic, and melt, so be it...
