Ls1 brake upgrade, gta crosslace wheels dilemma
Hey guys I got a problem, if anyone could chime in with what I'm supposed to do,
so I upgraded my stock brakes to the ls1s from bigbrakeupgrade.
now my gta crosslace wheels are not clearing all I need is about 1/4 inch spacer but I'm worried about the wheel not sitting on the centre bore with a regular spacer, so I found hub centric spacers. The smallest I found are 1 inch, now with the 1 inch spacers the wheels are getting pushed out of the fenders and I'm not sure how it will look with that wider front stance.
can anyone guide me or show me what they did

The 1/4 regular spacer is fine as long as you have enough thread engagement on the lug nuts.

So I won't have to worry about the wheel shaking or any vibration if I just use a regular spacer, lol I guess I might be worrying to much just all these YouTube videos about how dangerous spacers are got me on the edge

GM used a 1/8" spacer on rear drum cars with 16" wheels and iron drums. 1/4" isn't going to kill you. Torque your lugnuts to spec, without any lube on the studs, recheck the lugs after the first few short drives (heat cycles).

Should I be using a universal 1/4 inch spacer or should I make sure it is hubcentric?

Don't get all hung up on the huncentric thing. The wheels are lug centric anyway and once you convert to a floating rotor like with the ls1 conversion, the register on the hub where the wheel would sit and be hub centric is now covered by the rotor since it's only about 1/4" or so wide anyway.

Yeah that's what got me worried the rotor basically only left about 1/8 of an inch of the hub lip where the centre bore of wheel sits so I've been stressing that the wheel wouldnt be secure especially at high speed, since the wheel is lug centric I guess I'm all good to go, thanks so much for the guidance. Can't wait to get my 1/4 inch spacers and test out these ls1 brakes!
