Funny, my grill inserts disintegrated about 15 years ago while a daily driver, I wasn't going to pay 100+ bucks to replace, so I cut a couple of half inch hardy board planks to fit, painted and viola!. I actually ordered new inserts today.

Each mark is a pull cycle on the handles and braided cable. A lot of dang cycles on these old arms.
