Nice job looks like you have no clearance issues and you did the duals right with the crossover. You probably got some respectable gains from that whole setup. Any dyno results?

With exception to the mufflers showing off just how unsymmetric the rear section of the car is, it looks like a really well made setup.

Yeah, I know, there was no way around that because of the stupid spare tire hump, which we bashed in a little. Ground clearance is OK, would be perfect if the car wasn't lowered 2 nches.

Now its time for a new tranny Chris, before you kill that T5.

X pipe is to synchronise and equally scavage the left and right cylinder banks when you run a dual exhaust, a problem that is non-existent if you have a single 3inch setup. Its better than an H pipe because the exhaust travels through curves instead of straight angles (X H see!)

Set-up looks awesome!!! Did you have to remove the stupid piece of metal that connects the rear to the tranny or do firebirds not have them like my Camaro does? Either way :hail: :hail: :hail:

I think he means the torque arm. And unless you have a 4 link or other rear suspension setup, yes you need that too

I have a question, what if you have to take your transmission out? How do you get it out with the exhaust in the way? And does the exhaust go under the rear axle?

Riley's
HOK 2210 is a great header for the track, but just the plain 2210 doesn't come coated. I believe the 2210-1 is coated but it's like $200 more.

I want side pics, my system is not much different from that and ground clearance sucks.

Edit: Come to look at it, that is better than mine because of that cross member. Get some side pics .

that looks almost exactly liek the exhaust system i want. so if didnt lower my car at all from standard ride height, do you guys think i woudl have much clearance problems?

P.S. where does that pipe run when it gets to the rear axle?

If you have to drop the tranny, then taking the exhaust off doens't look like that much work, since it doesn't go over the rear axle. If it did go over the axle, I'd put some dr. gas ball/cone joints in it so you wouldn't have to drop the axle, too.
