Not really.

There are some limited edition models based on RPO codes. The 88 1LE is limited in that there were only 4 made, but it was still just a regular Camaro. The 3rd gens also had many conversions done. Choo Choo customs made a few, dealers made others, like the F41 Camaro or the Olympics Edition 84 Camaro. If you do a search, you'll find others. I just don't remember them all.

The 82 Pace Car and the 89 TTA are limited edition, but the TTA was probably the only real special edition. All the rest were still just standard Camaros with different RPO codes.

The TTA and Firehawk, obviously both Pontiacs and not Camaros, could be the only "limited edition" 3rd gens.

The 4th gen limited edition cars are all aftermarket done and could have been done during the 3rd gen years, but they weren't. GMMG in Georgia made all the Berger, Tom Henry, Dale earnhardt, ZL1s and many others. They were limited editions because they only made so many and they all had performance upgrades over factory. Based on that description, you could also state that the SS is limited edition also, but again. that's 4th gen!

These were not Factory stock models, most were oddballs made up by Dealers .

A place in Tenesee did conversions on some firebirds and turned it into a Bandit II Edition with different ground effects, plaque on the dash, custom seats and a shaker on the hood and other things.

Remember that silly "Pro-Am" conversion on '87 firebirds? I think that was another Choo-Choo Customs" debacle...
