car cranks but wont start

Car: 87 plane jane with gfx
Engine: 350 worked vortec head .515 .515 cam and 1.6 rockers and shorties for now til i can afford the supercomps
Transmission: super t-10 or t-5
Axle/Gears: auburn with 3.42 stock axles
car cranks but wont start

this has happened before but i checked what it was last time and it's not the same problem... i dont think. car cranks but wont start. the fuel pump doesnt come on and the computer i dont think comes on either because their is no check engine light just when the keys is in the run position. please help

lol, it's funny how things like that happen.

I remember when I was 10 or 12 years old and the lawnmower wouldn't start, my dad sent me to the barn to get a qt of oil to change it.

I came back about an hour later (as most 10-12YO's would do), chenged the oil, and the first pull it started up.

I always attributed it to changing the oil...

A few years later he told me he cleaned the plug.

the fuel pump and the ecm run off on of the connectors running through the altenator therefore if the altenator goes bad just on like the diode or something near that connecter it wont get power and then leading to the fuel pump and ecm not coming on
